If you’re looking for a quick and easy dairy-free alternative to ice cream this summer, this is it! Try it with raspberries or substitute with your favorite berry.
When I learned over 20 years ago that I needed to ditch the dairy for my health, ice cream was definitely the hardest thing to give up (and cheese!).
Back in the 90s there weren’t many alternatives in the stores, so over the years I have learned to get creative to make my own and now I would never go back. Homemade frozen desserts are sooo much tastier than store-bought anyway! Try this one out and let me know what you think!
Directions & Ingredients
In a food processor combine:
2 large frozen bananas (or 3 small)
2 cups frozen raspberries
2 Tbsp. real maple syrup or honey
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Blend until smooth and serve!
I like to make a big batch at once and divide it into small mason jars to freeze for later.
Just make sure you leave about an inch at the top so the jars don’t break and take them out of the freezer about 10-15 minutes before you plan to eat.
You can try this recipe with any of your other favorite berries as well!
Enjoy!
