Our goal with the calendar is to keep us in the groove of doing a little bit every single day — this is the secret to success! Each month has different challenges to keep the motivation going.
So if you want some extra accountability in the kindest and most accepting group on the internet, we hope you’ll decide to join us! :)

If this would turn you off, it may not be the right fit!

MORE QUESTIONS?
Why are you charging for this group?
Two main reasons:
1) To limit the size and attract those who are currently on the journey and not still in the information gathering stage.
2) So that I can dedicate as much time and attention to it as possible! I remember what it was like to simplify my home and I would have loved daily support!
What if I can’t afford it?
We’ll still continue to offer 2 videos per week on YouTube and you can follow us on our public Facebook page. We hope we can support and encourage you over there! :)
Why not create a course?
I’ve done that, too! In January 2021, I launched a brand new course called Take Your House Back together with Cas from Clutterbug and Dana from A Slob Comes Clean. Get all the details and register here!!
You can also check out my new workbook & course that launched December 2021: Declutter Your Home in 15 Minutes a Day
Why Facebook?
We put A LOT of thought into the best place to host this group. Fortunately and unfortunately, Facebook offers the most robust platform for a group, with Facebook Live, the ability to create announcements, share videos and more!
What if I’m not on Facebook?
You’ll have to create an account to join, unfortunately, there is no way around that. But you don’t have to use the account for anything else!
How do I access the Facebook community?
Once you sign up you’ll receive instructions on how to request access to the private Facebook group. If you don’t currently use Facebook, you can create an account without any details or friends and access the group that way.
Do you offer refunds?
We don’t at this time, but you may cancel at anytime and your access will end at the end of the month.
When will my membership renew?
Membership will renew each month on the same date that you joined. So if you join on Feb 22, it will renew on the 22nd of each month. Cancel anytime!
How is payment processed?
Currently payments are processed through either a PayPal subscription or a monthly credit card transaction.

Hi Dawn, I wasn’t sure how to contact you but wanted to let you know there’s an odd video within your YouTube channel. It’s the very last video under the House tours playlist (with a real crime title).
Also wanted to let you know that you have brought me extraordinary joy and motivation! Thank you!! Also I’ve realized how your videos are edited with photos added in is very smart. Well edited and makes it visually appealing, inspiring and makes it a joy to watch. Thanks for all you do!
Oh dear, not sure how that got there! Thank you for letting us know, it has been removed!!
Hi Dawn. I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your YouTube videos so much. I have gotten rid of 62 boxes of books, clothes, decorations and quilting supplies. It took me a year of doing a little at a time. This last Christmas I got rid of 2/3 of the decorations. I actually felt like putting up decorations when I had less to do. I look forward to getting rid of more things when winter comes. Thank you for your positive messages and helpful advice. The advice about less inventory has helped overwhelmingly.
Again I appreciate what you have done. God has blessed you with a gift of communication and teaching. ❤️
This is awesome, thank you!! And way to go!!
Hello! I have a question. Have you done or will you please do a video on decluttering when or before you move. I am going crazy with this project. I just want everything to go. I’m beginning to worry I’m getting rid of to much. I’m trying to look at my new home as what I would need in each space. Then the rest is going. Within reason of course.
Thanks for the suggestion, we will add the idea to our list!
Do you have room for one more in this Facebook group? Dawn (Cas and Dana as well) has changed my life. I have been trying to come up with a way to thank them properly and joining and supporting her this way sounds like a good way.
Yes we do! Just click on the links above to join :)
Hi
Can you please tell me about the time the one hour sessions are scheduled for? I live on the west coast and am wondering if the sessions will be at 6/00 or 7:00 am my time. Thanks!
So did they ever answer your question? I don’t see an answer from them.. 🤔
The FB Lives are often at 9am CST, but we also have some evening sessions (5 or 6pm CST) to make it easier for our friends in other time zones to join :)
Hi,
I’m in Australia and was wondering if it is $11 US? I tried going through PayPal but it isn’t giving me a conversion rate for AUS dollars
Hey Liane I am in AU as well and just used PP it came to AUD16.08 at todays conversion rate but will adjust every time it gets paid according to the rate on the day!
I just discovered your YouTube Channel and after decades of trying to get my clutter and general messiness under control, reading countless books on decluttering and organization, I finally feel like I’ve found someone who offers the simple and common-sense tools that actually make sense to me. I grew up as a child moving frequently and with each move my mom let me keep only a few things, then sold everything else (much which to me were preschools at those times) in garage sales. I moved into my first home away from my parents at 16. Now 31 years and in my 4th home, I still have boxes of stuff from my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd moves. Now I’ve lived in the same house for 18 years (11 years longer than my second longest in any one house), and have managed to practically become buried in stuff, 3000 square feet of living space, 1500 square feet of basement storage, a 2 car garage attached to the house, and a 3 car detached garage with attic storage space. I have ADHD, Fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, and severe seasonal depression. I look at it all and feel completely overwhelmed. And I feel guilty for having my children need to endure it…which doesn’t help with my depression which kicks of the fibromyalgia pain, and so on. I’ve been in a negative spiral for so long now that I feel like I’m the last year I have completely given up and gone from just having a lot of unecessary stuff but a relatively clean house to feeling like my house is disgustingly dirty. I’m going to try my best to get started using what I can learn from your videos on YouTube, but really do feel I need the encouragement and support from others that are struggling with similar difficulties simplifying their spaces.
I will say that for me with ADHD, if I stop clearing one space to take things to where they are supposed to go elsewhere, I will almost always get distracted by something that I feel needs to be done in the space I’m supposed to be dropping Stoff off at. I’ve wasted many days just shuffling around 10 different areas and not seeing any progress….
I can relate to this so much and I send you my love and support <3
We have just put down new flooring throughout our entire house. Almost all our belongings are boxed up. I realize this is the perfect opportunity to declutter and re-set our house. I would love to have a community for this work! ~Fran
Hello,
I’m new to all this online activity. I thought I registered as
a member, but I don’t see that information anywhere.
Can you help me with this?

Hello-Id love to be part of your private FB group! Today I donated an entire pickup load of stuff. I found your YouTube videos several months ago and am almost thru the take your house back course. I’m looking for continued support as I peel back the layers. My husband & I moved into our new house 6 years ago, carrying with us the stuff from 20 years of marriage and 2 other homes. 2 U-Hauls. Ugh. Needless to say he had a devastating accident 6 weeks after moving in so the house wasn’t set up. Now I’m his full-time caregiver as he’s paralyzed with debilitating nerve pain. I have several autoimmune conditions. I need to lose the excess stuff but I’m isolated and struggle although I’m making progress. Is there any hope of getting into this group or is the wait-list a mile long? I truly appreciate all that you do and the wonderful resources you offer! Thank you kindly.
I’m 72 years old and discovered you a few months ago. I’m devouring your videos. I’d say I’ve always liked the “picked up” feeling but could easily without concern ‘stuff’ clutter into closets/drawers. I’ve been decluttering some each day for awhile now. The one benefit to me— a grandmother of 7– has been this: I now know what I have and I know where it is. I just feel better about what it behind the closed doors/drawer fronts. Thank you for sharing your fabulous insights and ideas. I feel certain you have found a more ministry and I am one of the many benefitting from your labors. For that I praise God. — Diane
Can you please tell me how to cancel my membership?
I appreciate the videos you post to YT.
While reading this membership page, I realize I have a lot of pain associated with being called “messy” that I need to work through. I may have messy tendencies and not applying routines at this time (life has it s way of knocking us around). I think I’ll work on a declaration.
Thanks for sharing. I play your videos as I tackle my neglected areas.
Love and blessings.
Hi, Dawn, Nice to see this message, I would love to be part of the Facebook group when you have space.
Thanks fir what you do!
Berta Teresa
Hi Dawn (and Tom & Diana)!
I’m so excited to have found your YouTube channels and decluttering course! I would love to join your Facebook group for additional support, and also to share the success I’ve had so far in my own process. 😊 I started about a year and a half ago, when I got a dumpster, got rid of about half of what I owned, and moved my husband and I and our two young sons into the home of family friends (a couple with three boys of their own!) We called our experiment “Joy Beyond the Walls,” and had big plans for sharing our progress in cleaning, organizing, home improvement projects, and weight loss…who would have imagined that just a couple months into it there would be a global pandemic and we’d be non-stop quarantining together. THAT was quite an adventure! 😅 Needless to say, our experiment didn’t go quite as planned, but I still feel that the experience was the kick-start I needed to really pursue this “life of less.” We have since moved into our own apartment, and have continued to experience the joys of letting go. I started a Facebook group with the same name (Joy Beyond the Walls) and have been using my journey to try to help encourage and motivate others.
Of course, I’m still learning too, and have found your videos and course material to be SO inspiring! Thank you for sharing, for your transparency and openness, and for using your gifts to help others! I look forward to being a part of this group as well, and I really do “think we could be friends!” 😄

Hi Dawn! So I just signed up for your private membership group on facebook and I am on the waiting list. Do you know how long it will take till I get in? I am a very big fan and I need some help on decluttering so I thought it would be wonderful to sign up for this membership. Thank you for all your inspiration it has really really helped. Thanks.
Hi Dawn!
I need to find out how I cancel my membership. I already belong to the take Your House back group and feel like I don’t need to be on both groups at this time.
I really enjoy your content and it has made such a difference in my journey to clearing out my home and leaving behind what I love and need!
Thanks for everything!!!
Warmly,
Karla
oooh, I just signed up for this and I too purchased the take your house back. I think this may be more help
I totally have a self prescribed daily wear uniform and I love it. I found 3/4 length sleeve dressy Ts with a small satin curved neckline at Christopher and Banks years ago. I have many colors which look good on me and wear them with casual pants/jeans or dressy pants. Black top with blue jeans looks great and colored tops with black dress pants or yoga pants. I have some summer colors to wear with white slacks.(pink or navy with tiny white polka dots. I run cold so often top with a fleece vest with cute pin in winter. I have vests in black, purple and jean blue hot pink. The vest gives me pockets and collar. Love the easy mix look. Black yoga pants with black top and purple vest looks great and always very comfortable. Black pants with cranberry top and black vest when I want a little pick me up. Sometimes I put a scarf on (some hand knitted to match)with or instead of vest sometimes a dressy jacket or in summer same style sleeveless top with a blouse worn open to stay cool. I hope you’ll try to find your “uniform” and enjoy dressing simply and comfortably. I look forward to hearing all about it!
Hi Dawn,
My name is Victoria, I’m 27 years old I have 2 kids under 3 years old and am a full time student.
I’ve been following your YouTube channel for about two years now. 2 years ago I over heard my sister in law mention the word minimalism in a casual conversation with my mother in law talking about a new course of action she was taking to declutter her house. I started researching the internet and YouTube for answers to what minimalism is and I found your channel.
I can not express just how big of a difference your videos and practices have made in my life. I’ve done a couple purges around my house but for the most part its been small here and there every couple days gathering things with monthly trips to the donation center (this helps my family not notice when things leave our home).
I’ve shared my success with some close relatives who mostly think I’m nuts. I grew up the oldest of 8 kids, because of this we didn’t have lots of money. My relatives don’t understand why I would get rid of things that “still have so much life in them”. because of my life experience I’m still a very scrappy person, however the freedom minimalism has given me in my day to day life being a student and stay at home mom to littles really gives me such a passion for this work.
My little family is currently under very deep lock down right now with Covid19 due to serious health conditions. All this isolation in not natural. I believe God intended for us to live in communities so we could love and support each other. It’s for that reason I think that I finally decided to look for a group of women who I can relate too who will support me in this journey. I have a lot to share but have been so scared to be open about it because of comments that have been made to me from loved ones.
I understand that your group is currently closed, but when it opens again I’d be so grateful to join. Thank You!
Hello! Just found you on YouTube. I have decided that I definitely want to be in the Facebook group and I am on the waitlist. I decluttered only one thing (so far) in my kitchen and it had a huge positive impact (Thanks!) Something that you said about sharing a vacation house at Disney World resonated with me — that it was so nice to share a kitchen when there was nothing extra and it was easy to put everything away. That is not the case in my kitchen. Over the years, I have accumulated lots (a really lot) of flatware to make dishwashing (I believed) less stressful. I had so much flatware (forks, knives, spoons, etc) that it would not fit into its kitchen drawer. This had slowly made me greatly dislike emptying the dishwasher – in fact I avoided emptying the dishwasher as when everything was clean –there was no place for it. So, I pared way down (to 12 place settings which probably sounds silly to you as we are a family of 4)—but it is so much better! So much less stress. THANKS! Hoping to do my entire house starting now through 2021!
Awesome! We’ll look forward to helping you along the journey when we open registration again, but in the meantime, keep at it! You’re off to a great start!! :)
I’ve just found your YouTube channel last week and I’ve been loving them all! I am on the waiting list for December! I did a purge of our home in 2016, but we still have so much and I need a better process. Also, we love and have followed Dave Ramsey too! I can say we have fallen there in the past 18 months so it’s encouraging to follow your channel to hear others thoughts as well! Thank you for all your energy and ideas!
Awesome!! Thank YOU! :)

Hi Kathy! I’m sorry, that sounds like a difficult situation! If you’re interested in joining our members group, you’re welcome to join the waitlist (click the link above to fill out the form) and we’ll let you know when there is an opening in the group.
All the best :)
My husband and I are empty nesters and Dave Ramsey fans! We, like you, were doing the Baby Steps and doing them well… until… our income increased. Then… Baby Steps turned into Messy Money Managers! We have committed to start the Baby Steps again. Then I found your videos on YouTube… it was like a light bulb moment for me! We hate our debt and we really hate the stress of coming home to stuff we don’t need or even use anymore. I can’t wait to get started on a simplified lifestyle and looking forward to December when the group opens up again!! Thank You Dawn!!!
I would love to hear about how your spiritual walk has contributed to your decluttering process. 😊
Can’t wait to be able to join in December! This is exactly what I need! My close friends are too nice. Lol. I need someone(or this group) to speak to my mind and soul about the things that are hard to let go. I love all your videos! Thank you for all your efforts in sharing your wisdom. :)
Hi I noticed you’re starting a new book, and hopefully will be able to join your program in December… do you know what book you’ll be studying then so I have chance to get it in time please
God bless you
From Jackie
Hi Jackie! We haven’t decided on the next book, but we’ll be sure to share once we have the details figured out!!
I am having trouble paying and would really like to join as well.
Hi Dawn,
I have been decluttering for a couple of months now. I love following you. I am looking for the downloadable meal plan sheet that you spoke of in one of your u-tube videos. I am currently very interested in simplifying our meals. I love the idea of everything being inventory including food! Can you please share the meal plan sheet with me?
Hi Lisa! You can find the meal planning sheets in this post :)
https://www.ithinkwecouldbefriends.com/2018/09/27/simple-easy-meal-planning-free-printable/
I (re)joined!
I just tried to join, gave my debit card info, then I was taken to a different page about cookies and terms? I couldn’t get back to the payment page, I’m not sure if things went through or if I need to fill everything out again? Also, how many people are in this Facebook group?
Hi Dawn,
Is reading the book required or just a recommendation? Will there be enough talk about the book that I will not have to purchase it or is it highly recommended to read it myself?
Thanks!
I have the same question. We are in the middle of moving. I definitely am decluttering in the process, but don’t know that I will have time for reading a book. I will have some time to get on the group, read there, and follow some posts.
Hi Bethany, sorry I missed this! Please check your email for more info :)
Hi Dawn, I have tried to join, but the PayPal isn”t going through. Just a black screen. Love your channel. God bless, Karen Overshiner (MA)
Hi Karen, I’m sorry I missed this! I sent you an email, we’ll figure it out :)
Hi Dawn
I follow your channel, and yes I’m 69. I have three grown kids who have left stuff here. I have 10 grandkids. Our spare room has two sets of bunk beds and a double closet stacked with toys and craft supplies. We have too much stuff so I’m starting the minimalist life style. The garage also has too much stuff .
I would like to join your Facebook group. Is the $11 in American funds (I live in Canada)? Do you have a seniors discount?
Grandma Shelley
Hi Shelley, I’m sorry I missed this! Please check your email and we can help you out :)
Hi Dawn…I was wondering how many people the group is limited to.
Hi Cheryl, I’m sorry I missed this!! Please check your email for more info :)
Hi Dawn! I’m prayerfully considering joining your group but I’m not sure this is the best time considering the life stage I’m in. I have my first two and a half month old baby I’m caring for and usually only find about 10-15 min a day sometimes less to devote to decluttering 😅 I’m just trying to figure out how to cook dinner more often, much less clean. I am so determined to declutter our place and it’s very hard for me to not jump in full on because I feel a passion to get this done but I don’t know if I should go the slower route which is taking 5-10 min a day to slowly tackle our place or to try to go faster, honestly I don’t know if I have a choice! Just wondering if you still think the FB would be a good idea or do you think it might be better suited for someone with a little more time on their hands? Thank you!
Hi! Just wanted to let you know that I’m in the same boat as you. I also have a two and a half month old (plus a three and nine year old I homeschool). I’m in the same spot of having almost no time to really dig into decluttering right now, but I also don’t want to miss the opening to join the group. Not sure what to do either 🤔
Thanks for sharing Shareyah and its nice to know someone’s in a similar boat as me! Though you’re rocking it Mama with homeschooling two kids on top of that! :) I loved the book recommendation from Dawn, Decluttering at the Speed of Life by Dana White. I’ve listened to it twice now on audible and it’s been so helpful in starting my decluttering journey because it teaches you how to make progress in just the small pockets of time you find throughout your day, even when you’re constantly being pulled away for other things. Dawn did a great video on it!
https://youtu.be/7yQqvQ99MVw
Hope this helps ❤️
Hi Shareyah! I sent you an email if you’d still like to join :)
Hi Gabby, I’m sorry I missed this!! Please check your email for more info :)
