Every dollar of your purchase supports Dorothy’s House

Thanks to your generosity, we raised over $50,000 for Casa Shalom Orphanage in Guatemala to install solar on their property.

We will now be directing all funds to Dorothy’s House in Mexico to help support the installation of infrastructure for their new well and ongoing costs of operation.

The mission at Mujeres Nuevo Comienzo (“Dorothy’s House”) is to be a place where women are fed spiritually, love unconditionally, provided with food, clothing and a safe home, taught basic literacy and life skills, as well as trained and equipped with work skills.

They opened their doors in 2011 after recognizing the lack of available resources in the rural Baja California Mexico, for those who had been trafficked.

Over a decade after the program’s opening, Dorothy’s House continues to bring hope to vulnerable women and children.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it possible to get a printed copy?
Unfortunately, we’re only able to offer digital versions of the book right now. However, you can send your PDF file to Staples or another printing center and have them print and bind it.

Can I donate more than $5?
Yes! When you go to check out, you’ll notice that you can enter any amount that you’d like ($5 and up :)

Is this tax deductible?
If you make the donation through our website, it is not (we are not a non-profit organization). HOWEVER, if you would like to make a tax deductible donation, you can do so by following this link (it is safe and secure!). Once you have done so, please email support@theminimalmom.com and we will send you your digital worksheets right away!

How do I purchase multiple copies?
We are suggesting a minimum donation of $5/book so if you’d like to buy multiple copies, enter that amount. You’ll receive one download, but you can forward that many copies.

How did you get connected with Dorothy’s House?
Our family went on a mission trip back in 2022 and while we were there we got to tour the ministry. Dorothy told us about how she rescues women and showed us their kitchen where she teaches the women skills that they can use to be successful in life. Then we ate at the restaurant located on site.
